Biography

David Russell has a broad background covering financial markets and economics. He spent more than five years reporting on debt and equity at Bloomberg News and served as a producer for CNBC at the height of the financial panic. He's currently a reporter for optionMONSTER.com, and has a deep interest in credit, corporate finance and intermarket analysis. David cut his teeth as a journalist covering the rise of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela and has a keen interest in international economics and history. He studied Social Anthropology as a college student and still considers himself a proponent of that discipline. His guiding principle is that markets are social phenomena first and foremost.
