Here’s me in a nutshell: I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Sociology. Not knowing how a Sociology degree was really going to help me, I decided to follow my dream of being a television broadcaster. I started in Quincy, Illinois. Never heard of it? I hadn’t either. Moved to Little Rock, Arkansas to do a morning show on the local ABC affiliate. My boss tells me one day “Go to Dallas and cover the Cowboy Cheerleader auditions.” I told him I was definitely the right guy for the job! Some great stories came out of that trip, I must say.
While in Dallas, I met an executive producer for a talk show. We immediately hit it off and she asks if I will audition for the host job. Hell yes! The rest is history. I was now part of a host team for "Good Morning Texas" and became a two time Emmy Award winner. I was fortunate enough to be involved in some of the country's biggest news and entertainment stories. My interviews included everyone from U.S. Presidents and World Leaders, to television and movie stars, and professional athletes. It was a tough life but someone had to do it!
After several years of this fast paced lifestyle, I got a little burned out. Having the desire to move back to Southern California, I took my love for the verbal slug fest from the interview chair to the courtroom.
I graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and after a few years working for the man, a couple of friends and I opened up Harrison, Tibor & Castillo. We are a boutique firm focusing on employment and family law related issues.
