Biography
Steve Fortunato is the owner and founder of Room Forty, a fine dining restaurant “without walls”. Established with the vision of building a community around food and wine, Room Forty’s focus is to bring a fine dining restaurant experience to alternative venues. Their company-hosted winemakers dinners have brought some of California’s best, and most loved wineries and winemakers to the table, including Kris Curran (formerly of Seasmoke Wines), Cris Cherry of Villa Creek Wines, Palmina, and Justin Wines to name a few.
Having worked in the industry for over 19 years, most recently with Joachim Splichal’s Patina Group, Fortunato has formed a collective of chefs, hosts, winemakers, food lovers, wine lovers and festive souls who celebrate the power that a meal has in bringing people together.
