Anybody see that report by Jane Wells a little while ago on that gold broker in Los Angeles? The company, named Gold Line, is apparently a Monex-like phone mill for selling physical precious metals programs to individuals. Fine.
What struck me was the middle of the interview, when the CEO said that by January he was going to be doubling his staff of phone-banker salespeople to move metals! When asked where he was finding those folks and what sort of backgrounds they had, the answer was actually not that surprising: former mortgage brokers and real estate agents.
