Market Neutral: Fannie's Former Chief Credit Officer Returns

Published: January 20, 2009 | 7:48 PM

Chip Hanlon

As a follow-up to his popular October interview with Fannie Mae's first Chief Credit Officer, Chip welcomes back financial industry consultant, Edward Pinto. Last time, Ed described how the politics of affordable housing was the prime driver of the housing bubble. In this new interview, the expert--who testified in front of Congress in December-- gives the true scope of the problem. He also discusses some possible solutions to this generational challenge.

Separately: if you haven't yet been to Green Faucet's new International page, including an exclusive blog by Roger Nusbaum, you should really check it out.
