Another Classic Monday Fade?

By Chip Hanlon | October 13, 2008 | 3:05 PM | 4 Comments

EEJS just hit me with an email saying the Classic Monday Fade was going to rear its ugly head, that the market would falter big-time into the close.

I say that one-trick pony isn't going to run today, that the trading day will end well enough.

I'm writing this with one hour left until the close so let's see... I'd hate to have to eat crow on this one-- you have no idea. If he's wrong, however, he'll find the trash talking unbearable, I assure you.

Scoreboard

The Dow at 3pm EDT when Slagle emailed: up 628.

The Dow at the close: up 936.

Nice call, EEJS!

Where's Greenspan? What's going on here? What's everyone so excited about? Dow up 800. Oh my!
