Congratulations Mr. Geithner

By Michael Pento | November 20, 2009 | 9:28 AM | 5 Comments

Congratulations to Tim Geithner. I'm actually thrilled that he stuck it to Congressman Kevin Brady from Texas during his testimony on Capitol Hill yesterday. Of course Geithner is completely wrong in nearly everything he's done since taking office. And all he and the Obama administration have accomplished is to exponentially increase the follies of the Bush administration. But it just amazes me how Republicans only now see the importance of fiscal and monetary discipline after eight years of profligacy.

After listening to the exchange between these two individuals, it gives me hope the American political system will finally give the Libertarian party a chance. The republicans want endless money for wars and bailouts on Wall Street and the democrats want to redistribute the wealth from those who are achieving to those who are failing.

Is there anyone left in America who truly cares about freedom? Freedom to succeed or to fail, freedom from the central bank destroying the value of our money and the freedom to reach the maximum potential our creator intended for us to achieve. The only role of government is to provide an environment where markets can operate in the most unfettered manner.  Clearly both parties have failed...miserably.
