Biography

Ms. Shull, is a veteran trader, neuroeconomics expert and an acclaimed thought leader in market and trading psychology. Her signature line is "Re-think Thinking".

Her work began at The University of Chicago in 1993 where she researched how unconscious emotions drive compulsive behaviors. When the opportunity to trade with floor traders from the CBOE arose, she lept out of the ivory tower and into the markets.

After a key year of trading at Schonfeld Securities, she was offered a position as Head Trader at the rapidly growing market-making firm Sharpe Capital. Moving to an NYSE floor-brokerage firm, WJ Bonfanti, she also then continued her PhD studies at The Mid-Manhattan Institute of Psychoanalysis.

Her first article, "Freud's Path to Profits" was published by SFO magazine in December 2004. She has since written for Hedgeworld, AllAboutAlpha and CME Magazine. She has appeared on CNBC's Squawk on the Street, PBS' Nightly Business Report, Marketwatch, Cavuto, ABC News Now, Fox's Money for Breakfast and The Discovery Channel.

Denise belongs to the  The Association for NeuroPsychoEconomics, The Society for Neuroeconomics and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
