Perhaps we can rationalize Ed McMahon going through foreclosure proceedings by hanging on to the idea that many celebrities are irresponsible or point to the fact that he's old and he's been sick.. so maybe he's just down on his luck.

In response to "Your representatives blithely ignore the injustice of their bailout schemes..." above, maybe they aren't ignoring it at all, but actually benefiting from the bailouts and therefore unwilling, because of self-interest, to do anything about it.

I can deal with celebrities losing their homes, but I'm pretty uncomfortable with representives losing their homes; makes me wonder what type of people we've elected...
