Well it looks like the assistant winemaker who also make Ampelos will be stepping up to fill Kris's shoes.  His name is Don Schroeder.  While those are big shoes to fill, I'm betting that Seasmoke will stick to Kris's formula and still be enjoyable to those who love them. either way, Seasmoke Vineyards is a great source of fruit. People like Brewer Clifton and Foxen have made some wines from there as well.   That being said, having Kris leave does take a bit of the luster off for me. The upside is that maybe the wines will become a little more affordable.
