If I Won the Powerball....

By Mike Stathis | July 29, 2008 | 11:44 PM | 2 Comments

There’s one thing I would do without hesitation. I would fulfill my passion. No, I wouldn’t spend it all on myself like some greedy selfless sap. Sure, I’d buy a few things for myself and my family. But the bulk of the money would go to combat the crooks out there who continue to con everyday Americans just looking to improve their lives.

If I won a nice sized lottery, let’s say $50 million, I’d have enough (after taxes) to create a REAL educational platform to empower investors. I’d have enough money to focus my efforts full time to wake up millions who have been fooled by the endless number of “investment gurus” who have made their riches selling empty dreams to desperate people.

I’d travel America, giving free lectures, educating people about how the media sells them an empty bill of goods that only puts money in the pockets of the media and those they support. I would educate them about the crooked games played by Wall Street, mutual funds and others. I’d sponsor financial education courses for the nation’s youth so they wouldn’t be suckered by the consumer finance industry. If I won the Powerball, that’s what I’d do. Maybe I’ll have to start playing the lotto (despite the terrible odds of winning) just so I’ll know I tried. With so many very wealthy people out there, why hasn’t anyone done what I can only dream of? It’s enough to make one question whether humanity has lost its course.
