In some corners of the United States, a conscience terms exists that gives health care workers the legal right to opt out of performing some treatments that clash with their religious values. Some experts claim that following such conscience laws leads some health care workers to violate the Hippocratic Oath that they must treat individuals fairly and ethically. Now numerous of those workers will no longer be able to site the conscience terms, reports the Washington Post. Obama's changes to the conscience terms supersede provisions written in during the final days of the Pres. Bush administration.
