In addition to the technical aspects, I think a lot of what is going on is psychological. All of the bad news seems to be old news. We all know oil prices are staggering and that it is affecting the world. We already know the dollar is pathetic and the housing market is in ruins. We need to get beyond the mental hurdles and regain confidence in the markets. I assume going into the holiday is only going to create more sell offs. We need to rally, big time.
