The $350k Dumbwaiter

Have you spent any time over on www.recovery.gov? Whoooooooweeeeeee! Now THAT is something to see, my friends.

For example, I had no idea it cost $350,000 to replace a dumbwaiter at a Department of Veterans Affairs facility, but apparently it does. And that's among the smartest items you'll find there... well, smarter than paying almost twice the market rate for sliced ham. You can't make this stuff up.
